Stephen Houff, LEED™ AP
Stephen Houff is the Group Vice President for the Historic Preservation and Education Markets at Forrester Construction Company, a leading commercial construction firm and Engineering News Record Top 200 Contractor. Mr. Houff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Mr. Houff has over 20 years of diversified experience in management in the construction industry, with specialization in institutional and historic preservation projects. His management background includes supervisory and training responsibility for the entire Business Unit, consisting of over 45 Team Members. Mr. Houff’s passion for preserving the history of our nation’s capital and improving the learning environments in the area has resulted in numerous industry awards on a local and national level.
Mr. Houff has spoken as a panelist at the Historic Preservation Office’s roundtable series on Sustainability issues in Historic Preservation. Mr. Houff currently serves on the U.S. Green Building Green Schools Board, and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership. He plays an integral part in the strategic planning for Forrester Construction and is heavily involved in its fundraising and community service efforts with DC’s Buff and Scrub Program and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.
