Contractors Directory This consultant directory was created as a reference to general public and other government agencies seeking professional assistance of consultants with expertise in historic preservation. This directory does not claim to be all-inclusive, but does list all companies who submitted complete applications. Inclusion of a company in this directory does not constitute endorsement by DC Preservation League and the DC Historic Preservation Office.
Secretary of the Interior Standards have been developed for the following professions: historical archaeologists, prehistoric archaeologists, architects, historic architects, historians and architectural historians. The Standards serve as a guide designed to guide users toward qualified professionals. Those seeking consulting services in those fields are encouraged to refer to these Standards. This is not a clearinghouse for job opportunities. This directory is not to be used as an endorsement, or as a demonstration of professional competence, by any consultant. DCPL and DCHPO cannot and does not accept responsibility for the performance of any consultant. This is not an “approved” list. Any company wishing to be included in this directly can complete the application form. If all minimum requirements are met, they will be added to the directory.
