DCPL co-hosts Energy Efficiency Workshop with Historic Mount Pleasant

On January 23rd, DCPL co-hosted an Energy Efficiency Workshop for 60 community members with Historic Mount Pleasant. The workshop showcased how green technologies can offer environmentally friendly outcomes without sacrificing the architectural integrity of your property.

Pascale Maslin, founder of Energy Efficient Experts, a firm specializing in reducing energy costs, discussed how to reduce those costs and explained that 75% of the time energy is lost due to poor insulation. DCPL Trustee and Architectural Historian John Sandor discussed window repair and replacement and the costs and benefits of using interior/exterior storm windows vs. wholesale replacement.

Is your community interested in co-hosting an Energy Efficiency Workshop with DCPL? If so, please contact Amanda McDonald at amanda@dcpreservation.org.
