2016 Summer Internship
Washington DC’s oldest city-wide non-profit historic preservation association. Founded in 1971 as “Don’t Tear it Down.” The mission of DCPL is to preserve, protect, and enhance the historic built environment of Washington, DC, through advocacy and education.
The DC Preservation League is seeking to fill internship positions for the summer 2016 . The individuals selected will have the opportunity to work within various aspects of historic preservation including education, grassroots organizational management, advocacy and landmarking/research. Interns are expected to work 20 (part time) or 40 (full time) hours per week for 8 weeks and may require some evenings and weekends when working with volunteer committees.
Ideal candidates are historic preservation students (graduate and undergraduate) or those in a similar field of study.
Internships run for 8 weeks. Dates are flexible.
Internship is unpaid. Class credits available.
