March 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm
Join the DC Preservation League in celebrating Women’s History Month for a members-only tour of the Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument on March 22nd!
2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which guarantees and protects women’s constitutional right to vote! The Belmont-Paul House was built in 1820 by Robert Sewall and was sold to the National Woman’s Party for use as its headquarters in 1929. As the epicenter of the struggle for women’s rights, the site was designated a national monument on April 12, 2016.
This tour of the historic house museum will also highlight the preservation work recently carried out!
The national monument is a unit of the National Park Service’s National Mall and Memorial Parks.
